Measurement of the Image for Intention of Organ Donation

• In this study, we measured the image for “declaration of intention to donate organs” in 60 University students in Japan using semantic differential (SD) method.
• The study with pairs of adjectives representing the evaluation (ie, esteemed to scorned, useful to useless and right to wrong) demonstrated a profile with trend toward positive adjectives (esteemed, useful and right).
• As a next step, it is important to determine underling reasons why the actual organ donation has not been widely spread despite the fact of positive image for organ donation.
